New Partnership Seeks To Develop Unified Drone Kill Chain

Digital Force Technologies (DFT) and Powerus have announced a strategic partnership to deliver a fully integrated counter-UAS kill-chain. The system targets Group 1–3 unmanned aerial threats across detection, tracking, decision-making, and kinetic defeat.

Integrated Counter-UAS Kill-Chain

The partnership combines Powerus interceptor drone technology with DFT’s Seraphim command-and-control platform. Together, the two systems form a modular, full-stack counter-UAS solution. The integrated capability targets faster response speeds, reduced operator burden, and improved mission effectiveness in contested environments.

At the core of the system, Seraphim fuses sensing, tracking, and command-and-control into a single operational framework. It helps operators detect threats earlier, make faster decisions, and coordinate kinetic effects against one-way attack drones, loitering munitions, and other aerial threats.

“A highly successful counter-UAS defeat chain relies on adaptable kinetic solutions matched with command and control software that work together to be part of an evolving system,” said Justin Maclaurin, President and CEO of Digital Force Technologies. “Cheap, disposable weapons allow enemies in today’s conflict to continuously shift attack strategies. Allies need a system that is designed to physically and technologically match and surpass enemy fighters while quickly adapting to emerging threats. That’s what our partnership with Powerus brings to the table.”

Designed for Evolving Drone Threats

The initial integrated capability supports rapid deployment, fast operator onboarding, and adaptation to evolving mission demands. The partnership will introduce additional layers of autonomy over time. These updates aim to improve engagement efficiency and support scalable operations across diverse scenarios.

“While others are adapting to yesterday’s threats, we’re already building for tomorrow’s fight,” said Brett Velicovich, Co-Founder of Powerus. “Discussions with military operators and U.S. Department of War stakeholders directly informed the immediate need for development of this capability and exposed a clear gap in today’s counter-drone solutions, which aren’t keeping pace with how quickly threats are evolving.”

About the Companies

DFT has spent over 25 years developing advanced sensing systems for the U.S. military. The San Diego-based company has fielded thousands of systems across critical defense missions.

Powerus, based in West Palm Beach, builds autonomous drone infrastructure and technologies for defense and critical infrastructure. The company scales production through U.S.-based manufacturing.
